The International Club seeks to promote a multicultural exchange of perspectives between international students and all of the students, faculty, administrators, staff, and members of the local Gettysburg College community. It encourages to welcome of new international students with as much support as possible, including the creation and strengthening of bonds between students and the school's environment.
Apart from helping you hone soft skills such as time management, offering opportunities for you to meet new people and establish a support system, exposing you to new ideas, joining the International Club provides you with a space to learn about, celebrate, and appreciate various cultures, their people, diversity, and values from a more diverse point of view. As there are many international students in this club, members of the International Club can expect to broaden their worldviews and their understanding of the experiences of people from all over the world, as well as hone multicultural communication skills. As the world is increasingly becoming interconnected, having a global perspective would certainly help one stands out in the job market.
