Welcome Back!
We are excited to have a new semester with more opportunities in technical theater. We will be making some changes to better suit the purpose of this club. One of these changes will be stopping weekly meetings. Instead, we will have targeted workshops and guest speakers in addition to our larger events.
The Bear - STAGE One-Act
Due to difficulties casting The Harlequinade, we have replaced it with The Bear by Anton Chekhov. It will be on Feb. 10th at 6pm in the Ballroom. We look forward to seeing you there.
We also really need 2 more actors. It will be a staged reading, so memorizing lines is not necessary, and there will be only a few rehearsals. Please reach out to me as soon as possible if you might be interested in doing this.
Technical Showcase
We will conclude the semester with a technical showcase on Apr. 28th. This event will bring together various performing arts groups and performers with technical elements to highlight these various elements. Please look out for additional information about how to be involved coming out later this semester.
Other Events
We will have other workshops and seminars throughout the semester that are being finalized. These will include prop design, a design-your-own gobo workshop, and a sound workshop.
The Executive Board looks forward to a reinvigorated second semester of this club's existence. Please reach out if you have questions, suggestions, or would like to get more involved.
Thank you. Have a nice day!
Sincerely,
Nicholas Ryan
