Join us for the Eisenhower Institute's Spring Lunch and Learn on Monday, March 23, at 12:00 p.m. in the Lyceum in Penn Hall to learn about America's 250th Commemoration and Gettysburg's vital role in this historic milestone. Your interest in American history makes your presence meaningful and appreciated, as our guest speakers inform you about events on campus, throughout the county, and November’s re-creation of President Lincoln’s arrival in Gettysburg and the delivery of his renowned Gettysburg Address. The guest speakers at the Lunch and Learn will be Carl Whitehill, Vice President of Destination Gettysburg; Wendy Allen of the Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania; and Erin Aumen of Gettysburg College.

Gettysburg played a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s early history, especially during the Civil War. The Battle of Gettysburg and Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address tested and redefined the ideals of freedom and unity established in 1776. As America marks its 250th anniversary, this event offers a chance to hear about the many exciting events that will bring the community together and reflect on our shared history, reinforcing a sense of belonging and collective pride. Adams County’s America 250th programming began in 2025 and will run through 2026, aligning with Pennsylvania’s statewide initiatives and the national commemoration.

To reserve your spot for the Lunch and Learn, please reply to this email or contact us by March 20. We look forward to your participation in this meaningful event.
