To foster discussion on and pay homage to those who served in the American Civil War with particular emphasis on the Federal unit known as the 26th Pennsylvania Emergency Militia Regiment (26th PEMR). This will be carried out through living history events, reenactments, club meetings/discussions, social media outreach, and club events.

By bringing an Amnesty International chapter to Gettysburg College it is our mission to expand the general purpose of the NGO Amnesty International to "Work to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth, and dignity are denied". On campus it is our goal to educate and mobilize our students for generations to come in order to fight against injustices globally. We hope to be a resource for international students to spread awareness about any injustices their home country may be facing in addition to domestic issues in the USA as well. Through our organization's efforts I am confident that Gettysburg College will progressively produce graduates who are knowledgeable, passionate and ready to be the change as well.

The Anti Racist Collective is composed of students who maintain interest in the destruction of racial discrimination. Empirically and presently, we constantly see blatantly and flagrantly racist behavior and actions from students, staff, and community members met with indifference. We seek to reform the campus community in this regard, socially and academically.

We intend to achieve this goal through informational discussions, educational seminars & written publications on different global or domestic political, social, & humanitarian issues, policy oriented advocacy, interdisciplinary policy presentations in collaboration with faculty, and more.
