Lavender Graduation Celebration
Details
All members of the Gettysburg College campus community are welcome to join this event in celebration of our LGBTQ+ graduating seniors. All LGBTQ+ graduating seniors (expected May & Mid-Year) will receive a lavender graduation cord and dinner will be served.
A Note for Graduating LGBTQ+ Seniors:
- For the ceremony portion of this event, all LGBTQ+ graduating seniors will be invited to the front of the room to receive a lavender graduation cord.
- You will be given the option to introduce yourself and say a few words about your time at Gettysburg so we can celebrate your graduation with you (& this is totally optional). If you are unable to attend the event, but identify as an LGBTQ+ graduating senior (May or Mid-Year), you can pick up a lavender graduation cord from the GSRC during our open office hours after April 29.
A buffet of light food will be available, and there will be a Polaroid camera station to take pictures.
Please email the Director of the GSRC, AJ (she/they) at adelcini@gettysburg.edu or GSRC@gettysburg.edu if you have any questions.
