Want to be a great leader? Focus on people over performance. How you build relationships with your team matters. What kind of leader are they expecting? As the person in charge, can you adapt your approach in a crisis or on deadline? Managing attitudes, motivating people, and reducing conflict are critical skills to master now, as a student, as you prepare to enter the workforce. Instead of putting your personality in a box, use it. In this interactive session you’ll do exercises to identify your own leadership style, and learn to recognize and lean into emotions to improve performance. Whether you’re captain of the lacrosse team or president of your fraternity, leadership styles – and skills like empathy and self-awareness – are key to getting things done.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
-
Discover your personal leadership style.
-
Explain the importance of situational leadership.
-
Apply emotional intelligence as a leader.
