About Us

Gettysburg College hosts the Iota Omicron chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, the national co-ed service fraternity. It was founded in 1925, focusing on leadership, friendship, and service. It’s one of the largest collegiate fraternities in the United States, and its mission is to develop leadership skills, promote friendship, and provide service to humanity. APO emphasizes service to the community and encourages members to engage in various volunteer activities, leadership development, and social events. We’re known for our commitment to service, fostering leadership qualities, and creating a strong network of individuals dedicated to positively impacting society. In APO, "brother" is our gender-neutral term, embracing all members of our diverse and inclusive brotherhood.
