The Alexander Hamilton Society (AHS) is a non-partisan, not-for-profit, national organization that seeks to identify, educate, and launch young men and women into foreign policy and national security careers imbued with the Hamiltonian perspective of strong and principled American leadership in global affairs. Hamiltonians are united by a deep conviction, rooted in the history of the last century, that the world is a better, safer, and more prosperous place when the United States is willing and able to lead.

To generate a safe and inclusive community around local, statewide, and national Republican values and politics while growing the Republican party through vehicles of student engagement. We seek to be a distinguished body of students who champion free speech and free markets, among other principles, and increase our overall breadth of knowledge of the world around us.

We aim to prepare Gettysburgians to go forth into the world as high class citizens who are able to do their research on an issue and know how to consume the news of a quickly changing world. Debating skills are at a shortage and we aim to fix that.

Mission
We aim to educate whoever will listen on Marxism, socialism, class consciousness, intersectionality, solidarity, as well as capitalism, authoritarianism, liberalism, and imperialism. We will promote the former and condemn the latter.

We believe that freedom leads to enhanced quality of life for people of all classes, genders, sexualities, ethnicities backgrounds, abilities, and religions around the world, and we believe this is possible through an intersectional analysis of economic and political systems and how they interact alongside the social climate and history of a given region.

We believe that true freedom means lowering the obstacles that one has in one’s life. These obstacles consist of, but are not limited to: Capitalism, racism, sexism, ableism, anti-semitism, homophobia, transphobia, state control, and lack of access to resources.

The mission of the Public Policy Student Council is to facilitate a support network for current and prospective public policy students. In addition, we organize, promote, and advocate for engagement in our academic community and with student organizations on campus.
To promote a vibrant, inclusive community that facilitates a strong network within the Public Policy Program.
To provide ample opportunities for discussion outside of the classroom, giving all students a voice.
To enhance learning, networking, and fostering ideas among all students in our community that come from a diversity of experiences and interests.
To build and maintain strong relationships with other academic departments, private organizations, and public entities.
To act as an intermediary between the Public Policy Advisory Council and the Public Policy student body on all affairs that affect students.

The Student Senate of Gettysburg College, being elected and appointed by our peers, dedicate ourselves to the betterment of higher education and student life in the campus community. Our focus is to provide a representative, unifying, and responsible government for students. We hereby promise to be accessible to the student body, remain sensitive to the concerns of all, and to be advocates of the student voice in all affairs throughout the institution. The Sharon Statement

In this time of moral and political crises, it is the responsibility of the youth of America to affirm certain eternal truths.

We, as young conservatives, believe:

That foremost among the transcendent values is the individual's use of his God-given free will, whence derives his right to be free from the restrictions of arbitrary force;

That liberty is indivisible and that political freedom cannot long exist without economic freedom;

That the purpose of government is to protect those freedoms through the preservation of internal order, the provision of national defense, and the administration of justice;

That when government ventures beyond these rightful functions, it accumulates power, which tends to diminish order and liberty;

That the Constitution of the United States is the best arrangement yet devised for empowering government to fulfill its proper role while restraining it from the concentration and abuse of power;

That the genius of the Constitution—the division of powers—is summed up in the clause that reserves primacy to the several states, or the people, in those spheres not specifically delegated to the Federal government;

That the market economy, allocating resources by the free play of supply and demand, is the single economic system compatible with the requirements of personal freedom and constitutional government and that it is at the same time the most productive supplier of human needs;

That when government interferes with the work of the market economy, it tends to reduce the moral and physical strength of the nation; that when it takes from one man to bestow on another, it diminishes the incentive of the first, the integrity of the second, and the moral autonomy of both;

That we will be free only so long as the national sovereignty of the United States is secure; that history shows periods of freedom are rare and can exist only when free citizens concertedly defend their rights against all enemies;

That the forces of international Communism are, at present, the greatest single threat to these liberties;

That the United States should stress victory over, rather than coexistence with, this menace; and

This criterion must judge American foreign policy: does it serve the just interests of the United States?
