The purpose of the Gettysburg Film Club is to facilitate a safe space where people can come together weekly to watch and talk about movies. Movies are a great medium which bring people together, and the club will strive to create a community where people will feel they can relax and be safe. Meetings would be weekly, Sunday at 8, and would act as a great destresser in order to prepare people for the week ahead.

According to Forbes Magazine, Her Campus is the number one media site for college aged-women, with chapters at hundreds of colleges and universities across the world. Members of Her Campus empower one another, write articles on anything and everything, plan fun events, attend chapter-wide conferences, and post on social media. Since joining the Her Campus team, members have been offered jobs and internships with Vogue, Vanity Fair, The Washington Post, and more. While originally for women, anyone and everyone is welcome to join.

This may be done with meetings with professionals in the field, skill workshops, a design showcase, or other means. This group is meant to complement the other technical theatre opportunities on campus and is open to everyone regardless of prior experience.

Members can gain networking opportunities with the marketing and advertising world as well as gain insight into the job market. After fundraising we are hoping to get a Canva/photoshop subscription for our members as well as a camera they can rent out.

The Mercury has been published since 1899 at Gettysburg College, and reflects the creativity of the student body. Entirely student run, the magazine invites all students at the College to submit art, fiction, nonfiction and poetry for possible publication. Editors are elected annually by the entire staff. Submissions are reviewed and selected anonymously by the staff each year during winter break.
