This club will try to have regular meetings during the beginning of the month and an event towards the middle or end of the month where the executive board either comes up with different small events like general meetings where we have discussions about important topics going on in our community in Gettysburg or in the world and also events like game nights with food and snacks. All of the events and activities are to bring people together to bond and to create a community and space for mutual understanding whether you are of Dominican descent or simply like to learn about the Dominican Republic.

Our Mission here at the MMA Club is to provide another way to stay fit and active while also providing a safe space for mental focus and emotinal release in a structed environment. Our club strives to build confidence within our family and grow to make each other better. This organization shall include all Gettysburg College students, faculty, and staff. This organization shall require the members to have passion and some knowledge about combat sports. Members have the benefit of enjoying working out here, free of charge. However, everyone in the organization shall communicate clearly before doing a workout or using the equipment. Membership in the organization will not be denied to anyone on the basis of race, religion, national origin, age, sex, disability, veteran’s status, or sexual orientation, except as sanctioned by law.

The Pakistani Student Association (PSA) at Gettysburg College exists to create a meaningful space for cultural celebration, community building, and identity exploration. As the Pakistani student population on campus grows rapidly, the need for a dedicated organization like PSA has become more urgent than ever. Before the Class of 2028, there were only five Pakistani students at Gettysburg. In 2028, around eleven more joined — and for the Class of 2029, an additional nineteen students from Pakistan are expected to arrive. This exponential growth highlights a strong demand for a structured and supportive community where Pakistani students can come together, connect, and feel a sense of belonging.

PSA not only serves as a cultural anchor for Pakistani students — reminding them of home, offering comfort, and strengthening community bonds — but also plays a vital role in enriching the broader campus experience. While Gettysburg has a South Asian student organization, Pakistan has its own unique cultural identity, heritage, and traditions that deserve focused representation. PSA provides a platform for all students to engage with and learn about Pakistani culture through events, conversations, and collaborations. In doing so, it fosters greater cross-cultural understanding and contributes to a more diverse and inclusive college environment.

The goal of the Butterfly Coalition is to provide support to undocumented students on campus and embrace intersectionality and inclusivity within the community. Members of the Butterfly Coalition strive to seek resources to provide undocumented Gettysburg College students with a space that allows for a sense of belongingness and relatedness. It is time to advocate for ourselves and those who prefer not to self-identify in our campus community. We refuse to be represented by groups of people who do not have our best interests in mind. We refuse to be ignored by people on campus that cannot possibly understand what we go through on a daily basis. Therefore, we want to inform others what it means to be undocumented, and of the barriers as well as the risks associated with such statuses. We seek to clear up stereotypes and misconceptions while providing insight on the issues undocumented students persistently internalize, especially in a predominantly white institution. However, this will be a reciprocal effort in which we will also inform our allies on how to provide support for this organization. It is time to keep each other accountable and recognize our occupation on this land that it is not ours.
