Come to Musselman Library 18 to learn more about this funded undergraduate research opportunity and how to put together a competitive application. Faculty interested in serving as mentors are also encouraged to attend.

Painted Turtle Farm Smash N' Bash (Smashing Pumpkins)

With the end of Halloween, PTF is holding their pumpkin smashing event!! It is a perfect time to let out any stress or frustration at the end of the semester. Have leftover pumpkins? Bring them over to PTF! There will be plenty of hammers, bats, and even a smashing wood stump ready for destruction.

Enjoy live music by Listeners and Performers, a leaf printing exercise, a cozy GLC-hosted fire, and host-provided cider (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). There will also be FREE FOOD from The Mexican Food Truck, if you are one of the first 100 people there starting at 4:00. If you can not get there until later, do not worry, the truck will continue to offer discounted $10 meals until the end of the night!
GECO Sustainability Survey
Gettysburg Environmental Concerns Organization (GECO) is currently conducting a survey about sustainability on campus and are looking for more participants.
The questions generally focus on where the college is at sustainability-wise and how YOU think it can improve.
The Indigenous Revolt: Recentering Stories Through Photography in Carlisle and Gettysburg - Dr. Amanda Cheromiah

Description: Photography has long played a role in shaping narratives—both as propaganda to exploit Indigenous Peoples and Communities and as a means of resistance. We will first explore the impact of photography on Indigenous representation, focusing on the Carlisle Indian Industrial School and its connections to Gettysburg, PA. We will examine how images were used to erase, assimilate, and document while also discussing how Indigenous Communities have recentered photography as a means of storytelling and healing.
