This session, facilitated by Bill O’Hara (Music/Gettysburg Seminars) will introduce faculty to the collaborative teaching experiences that are available with the advent of the new curriculum. Jenny Dumont (Spanish/Coordinator of Sophomore-Year Seminars) will discuss the new Sophomore Seminar program and opportunities for course development, special funding, and collaboration with centers across campus. Christopher Rick (Public Policy/Director of Community-Based Learning & Research) and Jeff Rioux (Center for Public Service) will share how the Center for Public Service can facilitate collaborative experiences for students and faculty around the region. Finally, James Day (Sunderman Conservatory) will describe the community engagement undertaken by his students in his First-Year Seminar (Cultures of Possibility: Building Community Through the Arts), and his plans to adapt that course into a Sophomore-Year Seminar.
