Anne Bucher Lane Women of Distinction (Senior Students Only)

For senior students demonstrating strong academics, leadership & meaningful campus contributions.
โœจ Danae Bowen –
Senior English major and Africana Studies minor, and president of the BSU and the Anti-Racist Collaborative, Danae leads with courage, intelligence, and a deep commitment to inclusion. She has played a key role in organizing and presenting for MLK events, Black History Month programs, the Africana Studies Symposium, and Bystander Workshops, creating spaces for dialogue, learning, and community engagement. Through her leadership, she consistently uplifts student voices, advocates for equity, and fosters a more inclusive campus environment. Danae is a dedicated leader, a powerful advocate, and a strong supporter of her peers.

Anne Bucher Lane Women of Distinction (Faculty & Staff)

For employees who mentor, innovate, and strengthen student & college success.
๐ŸŽ“ Eloisa Gordon-Mora, PhD – Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer.
With over 25 years of experience in higher education and nonprofit leadership, she brings a deep commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion across the institution. She advises, supports, and advocates for students by addressing their personal, and professional needs, while also creating pathways for access, belonging, and success. Through strategic leadership, mentorship, and collaboration with campus partners, she works to build inclusive environments where all students feel seen, valued, and empowered. Her work continues to strengthen campus culture, foster community engagement, and ensure that student voices remain at the center of institutional progress.

Emerging Leader Spotlight (First Years, Sophomores, Juniors Only)

For underclass students making an early & impactful difference through leadership & service.
๐ŸŒฑ Sherpheire Moses –
Through vision and initiative, Sherpheire transformed Culture Shock from a single annual event into a thriving student-led organization. She has expanded its reach, empowered peers to step into leadership roles, and fostered a strong sense of community through intentional programming and collaboration. Her ability to organize, delegate, and inspire others reflects exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to student engagement and community building.

Hidden Figures Spotlight (Support Staff, Campus Groups, Offices, or Departments)

For those whose behind-the-scenes work creates lasting campus impact.
๐Ÿ’ก Cynthia Tokar –
 A vital force behind OSAGL and Culture Shock, Cynthia provides guidance in costume and stage design, offers consistent administrative support, and serves as a trusted mentor to students. She works closely with students to bring their creative visions to life while ensuring programs and events run smoothly behind the scenes. Known for her reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to go above and beyond, Cynthia supports students in countless ways often without recognition. Her dedication, care, and commitment make her an essential part of student success and campus programming.

Michelle Lynette Hughes '91 Alumni Spotlight

For alumni who exemplify advocacy, integrity, community-building & long-standing service.
๐Ÿค Jaclynn Cross '10 , President of GACC –
A dedicated and inclusive leader, Jaclynn is patient, understanding, and goal-oriented, with a primary focus on student success. She consistently connects students with alumni, supports events, and secures resources to strengthen the Gettysburg community. Her deep love for Gettysburg and its alumni network, combined with her collaborative spirit, makes her an exceptional partner and a joy to work with.
