JavaScript is one of the fundamental building blocks of the web. When users interact with websites and applications, their browsers are executing JavaScript to provide interactive functionality, update content on webpages, and fetch data from servers. JavaScript has become so versatile that it can be used to reproduce entire desktop applications or games in the browser and delivered on-demand. This session will introduce participants to the fundamentals of web-based, client-side programming experience. All participants will need access to a web browser and text editor.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • Become familiar with fundamental programming and debugging techniques.
  • Learn how content on webpages can be changed and produced dynamically.
  • Practice logical reasoning.
See January Term for full information about the J-Term program for 2022.
