Choral singing is a celebrated activity at Gettysburg College. Four choirs provide opportunities for singers at all levels of experience and expertise. Choirs include singers from all across campus- not just music students. There are many ways to sing at Gettysburg College. The Gettysburg College Choir is acclaimed for superlative performances of choral literature from the Renaissance to the modern era as well as diverse music. The ensemble is committed to the highest levels of musicianship and professionalism, singing in major concerts and touring annually. Concert Choir is a choir for college and community singers, specializing in major works and often joining forces with the College Choir to perform masterworks with orchestra. Audeamus is a choir for upper-voice singers that performs music in many styles from many periods. The word “Audeamus” is Latin for “let us be bold.” Camerata is an advanced vocal chamber ensemble, performing everything from madrigals to jazz.
