Pianist Kate Boyd is recognized for insightful performances of a wide range of repertoire and a particular commitment to underrepresented and contemporary composers. She has appeared in solo recital at New York’s Carnegie Hall, Schubert’s birth house in Vienna, the National Concert Hall in Dublin, and the Musikhalle Hamburg, and her concerts and presentations have taken her throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia.

Boyd’s recordings include John Cage: Sonatas and Interludes for prepared piano, which was met with critical acclaim and has received more than 100,000 streams and downloads, and Music for the End of Winter, featuring first recordings of solo piano works by five American composers. Her current projects include a multi-recital and recording cycle devoted to Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel’s Das Jahr and related works by women composers.

A versatile chamber musician, Boyd regularly collaborates with instrumentalists, singers, and artists across disciplines. She was a founding member of the New York-based Oracle Trio, a piano trio that performed throughout the United States for ten years.
