Jazz Ensemble

Join the Gettysburg College Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Amanda Heim, for an evening of fantastic music, with special guest, Summer Camargo, trumpet. The newest and youngest member of the Saturday Night Live house band, Summer is a regular performer at notable NYC jazz clubs like Dizzy’s, Birdland, and at the Drom with the Mingus Big Band. In her young career, Summer has toured with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra on the Big Band Holidays tour, served as a panelist for Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Jazz Congress, performed with Jon Batiste at the Newport Jazz Festival, was a guest artist at Wynton at 60, participated in Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead at The Kennedy Center, and much more.

The concert takes place at 8 p.m. on Friday, February 21, in Gettysburg’s Majestic Theater. $5.00 for adults/Free for children 18 and under & those with a Gettysburg College ID.
