❄️ Saturday, January 27th Trip: Official Announcement & Registration! ❄️

Hi Everyone! We wish everyone luck in their transition back to campus as we return from Winter Break! As some of you have seen in our GroupMe or Instagram post, our first Ski Club Trip will be officially taking place on SATURDAY, JANUARY 27TH. Do not forget to fill out the Google Form at the bottom of this email to CONFIRM your spot! Thank you! The Google Registration Form MUST be filled out before our meeting on Wednesday at 6:30 PM to guarantee a spot on the trip!

A few important details to keep in mind, please read!:

• We will be leaving Campus at about 2:45 PM, arriving to Liberty just past 3:00 PM, when the College Special Begins.
  • DON'T FORGET YOUR STUDENT ID! Everyone will need to have theirs on-hand as proof of college enrollment when we pick up your ticket!
  • The mountain closes at 10 PM, however we will likely be returning at around 8:00 PM. If you would like to stay later (til close) please ensure you have transportation, and contact us with any issues!
• Anyone who needs a ride/transportation to the Mountain MUST meet us in the Constitution Lot, behind Glatfelter and the Science Center.
  • We are currently coordinating transportation through Gettysburg's Transportation Office. They are connecting me with a shuttle company, as over 20 members (so far) are in need of a ride! I have not heard back from them as of right now, but I will to continue to update members who need transporation. 
  • Our treasurer, Jed Keegan, as well as longtime member Jack Comegmo have kindly offered to transport people to Liberty. Jed will be able to accomodate up to 7 members, and Jack will be able to accomodate 3 members. 
  • Other members have offered to carpool as well! If you are able to carpool/transport others, please make sure you confirm it on the Google Form, as well as meet us at 2:45 in our designated spot!
• We will be having an informational first meeting before our first trip, which will be held this Wednesday, in CUB 208 from 6:30 - 7:30 PM!
  • This will be an informal meeting, giving members an opportunity to come and ask questions, meet our exec board, as well as meet one another before our first trip!! Light snacks & refreshments will also be provided! 🍪☃️🏂

All of us on Exec. are so excited for this trip, and we hope that you are as well! We have been working hard to figuring out transportation logistics, budgeting costs, as well as numbers for the trip. We want as many members as possible to be able to come on our first kick-off trip! This is in an effort to allow everyone to meet each other and get acquinated, as well as see familiar faces on the slopes!

The weather is not expected to be as cold as it currently is on campus for our first trip! AccuWeather estimates that afternoon conditions will be Partly Sunny, and around 50°F! 🌤
