Subject: A New Era for the Class of 2025

Dear Class of 2025,

We are the new Class of 2025 Cabinet; thank you for entrusting us with this responsibility. Every single member of this Cabinet is dedicated to creating a unique year for our class. The past few years were dedicated to pandemic-era thinking; it's time to shed that mentality and reintroduce the College experience each and every one of us wants. This Cabinet stands united in this goal; we will shatter the status quo.

For the Class of 2025, this represents an era to build connections, whether on campus or abroad, create memorable class traditions you can leave Gettysburg College with, and, most importantly, create accountability for those who represent you.

During Junior year, many of us will travel abroad for the semester to explore new areas of the World. Often we lose our connection to this campus and our community while we are gone. The Cabinet is dedicated to maintaining this sense of connection. The Cabinet will appoint a Study-Abroad Coordinator to maintain students’ connection to campus while advocating on their behalf when warranted. To make this system accessible to all, the Cabinet is launching a Concerns Platform to direct the Class of 2025-specific concerns to the appropriate people, organizations, and departments. Further, the Class Secretary will use the new Class Website and Class Instagram to highlight unique experiences and show off the world. In this way, whether studying abroad in Washington D.C or halfway around the world, you are a part of the Class of 2025.

This Cabinet endeavors to hold unique and new traditions so that whether you are on campus all year, the fall semester, or the spring semester, there will be no shortage of memories to be made. The Cabinet will appoint a new Traditions Coordinator to pass these traditions down to the next class and ensure we take the first steps in a long and valued Junior experience.

Our Cabinet will work with the new Senate Parliamentarian and the rest of the Senate Executive Board to ensure accountability for your elected representatives. Our Class Vice President, working with the Senate Vice President, will ensure that your elected class representatives are held to the highest standards and obligations. We are committed to holding frequent outreach events for all to have their voices heard. In cooperation with the Senate President, we are establishing a Presidents Council so that Presidents may advocate on the most pressing issues at the highest levels.

As a Cabinet, we only ask three things of you: Reach out to us with your thoughts and ideas, engage with our new Instagram and Website, and never be afraid to let us know your concerns. We are going to have a great year! Please take care and enjoy the rest of your summer.

Sincerely,

The Class of 2025 Cabinet

President (Fall 2023) Joey Labrie

President (Spring 2024) Hannah Repole

Vice President (Fall 2023) Michael Klatt

Vice President (Spring 2024) Isabella Roy

Treasurer Michael Woods
