Biosphere is committed to furthering interest in and passion
for the biological sciences at Gettysburg College. Our organization believes that
biology-related issues and events give deep insight into our world at large. While our
activities relate primarily to the interests of science majors, our mission aims to extend
appreciation for the sciences to the rest of the world around us. We strive to create a
social and academic hub for such scientific appreciation by hosting a variety of events,
talks, and field trips open to the Gettysburg College community.

We are interested in the exploration and discussion of current events and issues through an economic lens. Whereas courses often focus on theoretical implications of this field of study, it is our mission to highlight the practical insights that an economic approach can reveal in how we comprehend relationships, develop policies, and strive to live more fulfilling lives.

A large part of what we do involves engaging in meaningful conversations with a diverse array of student organizations. Members of the Economics Research Club will have the opportunity to take part in both planning and taking part in these bi-weekly conversations with campus partners.

To improve student-faculty engagement within the Economics Department.
Identify and advocate for additional areas of action that can be taken - both in and out of the classroom - to enhance students' experiences. Work with faculty to suggest events and speakers to ensure diversity and inclusivity. When applicable, take an active role in interviews of job candidates including but not limited to lunches, research presentations, and teaching demonstrations. Coordinate department social media for outreach. Lead dialogues and/or events surrounding contemporary issues. Enhance student-faculty research collaboration.

The purpose of this club is to teach students about finance, including investing, the stock market and career paths. We provide opportunities for members to practice via stock market simulations, stock pitch competitions and provide members the opportunity to network and hear from guest speakers. We hope to better position Gettysburg students to succeed in financial services.

The mission of the German Club is to provide students with opportunities to explore German culture and develop their language skills. The German Club seeks to foster and support the study of German by providing an inclusive forum for students of all backgrounds and ability levels to engage with the fascinating and relevant cultures of German-speaking lands beyond the classroom. Through regular meetings and collaborations with other German- and internationally-oriented student groups, the German Club seeks to enrich the social and intellectual dimensions of student life as well as sustain and enhance the experience of studying German at Gettysburg College.

It endeavors to spark historical conversation among all the members of the Gettysburg community and enable a trade of knowledge and perspectives on historical matters. This club's mission is to nurture fruitful and respectful historical discourse that provides application to the grander scheme of life. Its members should respect tradition but not be hindered by it. They should educate, but be imaginative in the ways that that can be done. Ultimately this is an open club designed for discussion, imagination, and action.
