We want to make sure you are heard. Please use these forms before and during recruitment.

  • Potential New Member Bill of Rights

    You have rights going through recruitment.

    • The right to be treated as an individual
    • The right to be fully informed about the recruitment process
    • The right to ask questions and receive true and objective answers from recruitment counselors and members
    • The right to be treated with respect
    • The right to be treated as a capable and mature person without being patronized
    • The right to ask how and why and receive straight answers
    • The right to have and express opinions to recruitment counselors
    • The right to have inviolable confidentiality when sharing information with recruitment counselors
    • The right to make informed choices without undue pressure from others
    • The right to be fully informed about the NPC Unanimous Agreements implicit in the membership recruitment acceptance binding agreement (MRABA) signing process
    • The right to make one's own choice and decision and accept full responsibility for the results of that decision
    • The right to have a positive, safe and enriching recruitment and new member experience
  • What happens if these rights are violated?

  • Potential New Member Code of Conduct

    Along with rights, we have expected conduct of all participants in recruitment. Our chapters have recruitment rules they must follow. Potential New Members, have a Code of Conduct that must be followed. You agree to this Code of Conduct when you register for recruitment.

    • I will attend all recruitment events in which I am invited to for reach round of recruitment.
    • I will respect myself, other potential new members, chapter members, recruitment team, Panhellenic members, and staff members at all times. I will refrain from making offensive comments and/or actions towards any and all mentioned individuals.
    • I will communicate regularly with my Rho Gamma and will let them know if I decide to withdraw from the recruitment process.
    • I will effectively manage my time throughout the recruitment period and understand if I miss an event for any reason not approved by Panhellenic, I will not be able to reschedule the event I have missed.
    • I will refrain from communicating with chapter members or individuals affiliated with the chapters members outside of recruitment events. This includes, but is not limited to, in person conversations, texts messages, social media dms, phone calls, Snapchats, etc
    • I will not make disparaging remarks about any sororities or fraternities on Gettysburg College's campus or individual member(s). This includes, but is not limited to remarks made during in person conversations, text messages, posts made on social media accounts (TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Yik Yak, etc.) that are deemed inappropriate or perceived as bullying via Panhellenic
    • I will participate fully in each recruitment event. This includes, but is not limited to, talking with chapter members, etc.
    • I understand that if I sign my MRABA on the night of Preference Round, I am bound by this document and the chapter that extends me a bid. This means, I am not eligible to receive an invitation for membership from another chapter until Fall 2024.
    • I will not consume alcohol and/or illegal substances during recruitment weekend (this includes bid night). If I am found to have consumed the stated above substances, I may receive disciplinary sanctions by Panhellenic or Gettysburg College.
    • I understand that, upon joining a chapter, I will be responsible for all financial and academic obligations of membership.
