To foster discussion on and pay homage to those who served in the American Civil War with particular emphasis on the Federal unit known as the 26th Pennsylvania Emergency Militia Regiment (26th PEMR). This will be carried out through living history events, reenactments, club meetings/discussions, social media outreach, and club events.

By bringing an Amnesty International chapter to Gettysburg College it is our mission to expand the general purpose of the NGO Amnesty International to "Work to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth, and dignity are denied". On campus it is our goal to educate and mobilize our students for generations to come in order to fight against injustices globally. We hope to be a resource for international students to spread awareness about any injustices their home country may be facing in addition to domestic issues in the USA as well. Through our organization's efforts I am confident that Gettysburg College will progressively produce graduates who are knowledgeable, passionate and ready to be the change as well.

The Anti Racist Collective is composed of students who maintain interest in the destruction of racial discrimination. Empirically and presently, we constantly see blatantly and flagrantly racist behavior and actions from students, staff, and community members met with indifference. We seek to reform the campus community in this regard, socially and academically.

We intend to achieve this goal through informational discussions, educational seminars & written publications on different global or domestic political, social, & humanitarian issues, policy oriented advocacy, interdisciplinary policy presentations in collaboration with faculty, and more.

This club goal is to create a safe space for all hispanic/latinos particularly for Dominicans Our club will focus on promoting aspects of our culture regarding our history, our traditions and how our sense of community is very important to us. Our goal is to shine a light or show another side to the hispanic/latino culture, regarding the struggles our country has endured in the past and what we are currently enduring, our struggles with self identity and to show similarities and differences within other Caribbean cultures. This club will try to have regular meetings during the beginning of the month and an event towards the middle or end of the month where the executive board either comes up with different small events like general meetings where we have discussions about important topics going on in our community in Gettysburg or in the world and also events like game nights with food and snacks. All of the events and activities are to bring people together to bond and to create a community and space for mutual understanding whether you are of Dominican descent or simply like to learn about the Dominican Republic.

Members of our club will gain an additional place they can consider their community, they’ll get a piece of home with them in school and will gain and form new friendships with people they may have never met or had conversations before. Some members will bring to the group different ideas and new ideas that can be added to the mission or goal of the club. We want the club to always be a collaborative effort from both members and the executive board. This is important to us because we want everybody’s voice and suggestions to be heard and respected, we want everybody in our club to feel like they were able to make changes they want to see on campus and within the club. Members will be free to have a say in different topics, events or discussions we have during our meetings and events.
