What do I need to complete the Guided Pathways? You will need to meet with your Co-Curricular Advisor at least once a semester, as well as have approved reflections for introductory, exploratory, and consequential experiences in the Career Development Pathway and approved reflections for introductory, exploratory, and consequential experiences in a Pathway of your choice.
How do I track my progress through the Guided Pathways? Go to "My Checklists" in engageGettysburg in the menu on the left and choose various Pathways to see what is checked off on the lists.
How do I review my completed reflections? Login to engageGettysburg and find "My Surveys/Forms" in the menu on the left. Your approved reflections and reflections that need editing will be on that page. You can also go to "My Checklists," and click on each Pathway. Scroll down to see completed experiences checked off. If you are not sure what you wrote your reflection about - it is linked there and you can click on it to open it.
How do I edit a reflection I've already submitted? Login to engageGettysburg and find "My Surveys/Forms" in the menu on the left and locate the reflection in the list. It may be marked, "Pending Approval", "Requires Modifications", or "Hold," depending on the situation.
Can I submit reflections that are past due? No.

When can I complete a Consequential reflection? You can ONLY complete a Consequential Reflection IF you ALREADY have approved introductory and exploratory experiences in THAT SAME Pathway. It is always recommended that you discuss your experience with your Co-Curricular Advisor BEFORE submitting a Consequential Reflection!
Do I need to complete reflections every semester? Not necessarily. We want you to reflect on experiences that are meaningful to you that you have completed. That means that there are times when you will not have an experience to reflect on as it is ongoing.
How do I earn a Guided Pathways Crewneck sweatshirt? You need to have approved introductory and exploratory reflections in the Career Development Pathway and one other Pathway.
Do I have to meet with my Co-Curricular Advisor every semester? Yes! This helps to ensure that you are on track to complete the Guided Pathways and remain an active participant in the program.
Are the Guided Pathways required? No, the Guided Pathways is an opt-in program that begins your first year and continues through your senior year.
Do I need to be in the Guided Pathways to apply for funding? Yes, and you must be active in the program which means you are attending semesterly meetings and submitting reflections.
What is an experiential learning opportunity? An experiential learning opportunity eligible for this fund is an experience outside of the classroom for which you are interested in participating or are already participating, which provides you with practical experience related to your future academic, leadership or professional goals.
Can you give me examples of experiential learning opportunities?

Can I apply for funding if I am already getting paid or getting a stipend? Possibly. In your application you can discuss your need for additional funding.
Do I need to have secured an opportunity to apply for funding? No, but if you do not get the opportunity for which you applied you will not get the funding.

What are the deadlines for applying for the Guided Pathways Fund?
How quickly will decisions be made? Please allow two weeks for the committee to review and make decisions about funding.
If I am selected for funding, how long will it take for me to receive the funding? Once you have received a funding decision and completed your paperwork, it takes an addition 3 - 4 weeks to process payments.
Is there a minimum or maximum amount of funding available? No, but you need to submit a detailed budget with your application.
How detailed should my application be? Your application is an opportunity for the funding committee to get to know you and your interests. The more detailed you are in answering the questions, the better the committee will be able to assess your experience and interests as they relate to funding opportunities.
If selected, will I receive exactly the amount of money I requested in my application? Not necessarily.
How many times can I apply for Guided Pathways funding? As many as you would like, however, depending on the application pool, first-time applicants may be given preference.
Must I submit a reflection on the experience for which I was funded? Yes.
When is my reflection due? Reflections must be submitted within a month of completing the experience.
