Our goal is to shine a light or show another side to the hispanic/latino culture, regarding the struggles our country has endured in the past and what we are currently enduring, our struggles with self identity and to show similarities and differences within other Caribbean cultures. This club will try to have regular meetings during the beginning of the month and an event towards the middle or end of the month where the executive board either comes up with different small events like general meetings where we have discussions about important topics going on in our community in Gettysburg or in the world and also events like game nights with food and snacks. All of the events and activities are to bring people together to bond and to create a community and space for mutual understanding whether you are of Dominican descent or simply like to learn about the Dominican Republic.

The Japanese Culture Club aims to provide an experience of Japanese Culture on our own campus. Japanese food, movies, anime, calligraphy, and festivals are activities we want to bring to Gettysburg students. The mission of the Muslim Student Association is to educate the College campus about Islam and Islamic issues, with the hopes that this will eliminate some of the stereotypes on Islam perpetuated after the tragic events of September 11, 2001. The Muslim Student Association has several goals: To foster unity amongst the Muslims on campus; to help non-Muslims gain a better understanding of the principles of Islam firsthand; to educate our Muslim members of the virtues of other religions represented on campus; and to participate in charitable events for the Gettysburg Community. The Muslim Student Association also hopes that such an organization on campus will encourage prospective Muslim students and students interested in learning about Islam to attend Gettysburg College.

The goal of the Butterfly Coalition is to provide support to undocumented students on campus and embrace intersectionality and inclusivity within the community. Members of the Butterfly Coalition strive to seek resources to provide undocumented Gettysburg College students with a space that allows for a sense of belongingness and relatedness. It is time to advocate for ourselves and those who prefer not to self-identify in our campus community. We refuse to be represented by groups of people who do not have our best interests in mind. We refuse to be ignored by people on campus that cannot possibly understand what we go through on a daily basis. Therefore, we want to inform others what it means to be undocumented, and of the barriers as well as the risks associated with such statuses. We seek to clear up stereotypes and misconceptions while providing insight on the issues undocumented students persistently internalize, especially in a predominantly white institution. However, this will be a reciprocal effort in which we will also inform our allies on how to provide support for this organization. It is time to keep each other accountable and recognize our occupation on this land that it is not ours.

In this time of moral and political crises, it is the responsibility of the youth of America to affirm certain eternal truths.

We, as young conservatives, believe:

That foremost among the transcendent values is the individual's use of his God-given free will, whence derives his right to be free from the restrictions of arbitrary force;

That liberty is indivisible and that political freedom cannot long exist without economic freedom;

That the purpose of government is to protect those freedoms through the preservation of internal order, the provision of national defense, and the administration of justice;

That when government ventures beyond these rightful functions, it accumulates power, which tends to diminish order and liberty;

That the Constitution of the United States is the best arrangement yet devised for empowering government to fulfill its proper role while restraining it from the concentration and abuse of power;

That the genius of the Constitution—the division of powers—is summed up in the clause that reserves primacy to the several states, or the people, in those spheres not specifically delegated to the Federal government;

That the market economy, allocating resources by the free play of supply and demand, is the single economic system compatible with the requirements of personal freedom and constitutional government and that it is at the same time the most productive supplier of human needs;

That when government interferes with the work of the market economy, it tends to reduce the moral and physical strength of the nation; that when it takes from one man to bestow on another, it diminishes the incentive of the first, the integrity of the second, and the moral autonomy of both;

That we will be free only so long as the national sovereignty of the United States is secure; that history shows periods of freedom are rare and can exist only when free citizens concertedly defend their rights against all enemies;

That the forces of international Communism are, at present, the greatest single threat to these liberties;

That the United States should stress victory over, rather than coexistence with, this menace; and
