CUB Junction

The Junction serves as the campus' living room, offering our community members a space to socialize and engage with each other in a relaxed and vibrant hub of activity. Adjacent to both the campus' quick service dining facility and coffee shop, the space is perfect for small, intimate concerts, presentations, or activities.

  • Hot cocoa or "drop-by" events with College departments or student organizations
  • Acapella and student performance group concerts
  • Public receptions and parties
  • Video game tournaments
  • Open mic and/or karaoke nights

OME / Mosaic House Basement

The basement of Mosaic House / the Office of Multicultural Engagement offers a more private space for social events and interaction. With a focus on outreach to underserved and underrepresented student populations, the space lends itself well to social events focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Cross-cultural focused food and social events
  • Movie nights and/or watch parties
  • Private receptions and parties
  • Small parties and concerts hosted by student performance groups

CUB Ballroom

The College Union Building Ballroom is one of the most popular, largest, and most versatile spaces on campus. This venue is best suited for large-scale events such as lectures, performances, and experiential fairs. This space provides the event host with the ability to select the layout that would make the event most successful.

  • Experiential fairs, such as the Activities Fair or Career Fair
  • Large-scale social events
  • Performance-based philanthropic events
  • Lectures and/or keynote speakers
  • Formal or semi-formal dances
  • Banquets and dinners

The Atrium

The Atrium is a section of the dining hall that is able to be reserved by campus entities for a number of purposes, including large-scale meetings, receptions, and banquets. All events that are hosted in the Atrium must utilize Gettysburg College's catering services and event hosts will not be permitted to bring in outside food or beverages in this space.

The Attic

The Attic is a versatile social space that is open to the campus community outside of the times that it is reserved by an event sponsor. When the Attic is not reserved, students are able to access the space to play pool, Skee Ball, and just relax. During registered events, the sponsor will have access to an ice machine, Coca-Cola machine, and the bar. The Attic is one of the primary locations for events with alcohol on campus, with trained TIPS staff members being able to serve beer, hard cider, hard seltzers, and wine.

Plank Gym

Plank Gym is a space that is often utilized for the intramural leagues that are coordinated by Campus Rec, but can be utilized for a number of fair-type programs or events that are a bit more physical in nature. Plank Gym is not an air conditioned space so event sponsors should be mindful about the temperature when reserving this location for events.

CUB Lobby

The College Union Building Lobby is on the first floor of the CUB, adjacent to the College Bookstore and the mailroom. The CUB Lobby is equipped with multiple arcade games, board games, video games, and a pool table. It is a very visible and open location, which does not have the ability to be closed off for private events so all event sponsors should be aware of foot-traffic when reserving this space.

Outdoor Venues

Stine Lake

Located in the center of the campus, Stine Lake is the heart of the college's social scene - particularly during the warmer months of the year. The large field offers ample room to lounge, play, or socialize while outdoors. Strings of lights, Adirondack chairs, and fire pits offer gathering space during evening hours - making the space a true 24-hour venue.

  • Outdoor concerts featuring student performance groups

  • Cultural or identity-based festivals
  • Large-scale social events or philanthropy events

Musselman Beach

Musselman Beach is a large, open field in between Musselman Hall, Christ Chapel, and Stevens Hall. Students can often be found sun-bathing and relaxing on this field, yielding the beloved name of "Muss Beach." Despite it's name, there is no sand or water at this location, but it can be used for a number of fun events!

CUB Green

During the warmer months of the year, the College Union Building Green is the designated location for CUB tabling (weather permitting). This space is located at the base of the Bullet Hole Patio and provides event sponsors with a strong level of visibility, as this space is often passed as the campus community moves between the heart of campus and the dining hall.

Servo Field

Servo Field is nestled in between the College's dining hall, Servo, and the Bream Wright Hauser Athletic Complex. With close proximity to the dining facilities, this location may be ideal for events that involve a high level of catering. The field does have a slight slope in it, making it difficult for some sporting events to take place here.

  • "Drop-by" events, such as Dog Days

Memorial Field

Memorial Field is a large, flat field between the College Union Building, Plank Gym, and Apple Hall. This field yields itself well to sporting events and other outdoor activities that do not require access to too much electricity. During the fall semester, the College's Marching Band can often be seen rehearsing on this Memorial Field.

Quarry Pavilion

Quarry Pavilion sits on the edge of campus, overlooking Quarry Pond. This outdoor location has close proximity to many of the athletic fields, leading it to be a hub for gatherings during games. Attendees may also find themselves wandering toward Quarry Pavilion for picnics or similar events, as the pavilion is equipped with picnic tables and charcoal grills.

Musselman Stadium

Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium is often occupied by the College's athletic teams for games or practices, but can be reserved by the campus community for other events upon availability. The stadium is equipped with a track, a turf field, and bleachers, making it the ideal location for any organization looking to have a competition or sporting event.
